As an implementation of the protocol signed between the Presidency of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) and the Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB), the SSB KALFA Program has been launched. The Ministry of Labour and Social Security will contribute to this program through İŞKUR. In addition, ASELSAN, TUSAŞ, ROKETSAN, HAVELSAN, STM, TEI, SSTEK and TR Education and Technology will provide support during the implementation phase of the training process. With the KALFA Program, which is specially designed for young people, it is aimed to provide qualified human resources for our defence industry by supporting the competencies gained by young people at university with technical training programs and workshops.
The KALFA Program will be carried out for young people who were affected by the earthquakes that occurred on February 6, 2023, centered in Kahramanmaraş and affected 11 provinces. With the KALFA Program, young people will participate in trainings specially designed for the defense industry and approved by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), will work in workshops in the above-mentioned defense industry companies, will receive financial support through İŞKUR and will have the opportunity to be employed in the defense industry at the end of the program.
