SCIENTIFIC ASSESSMENT EXAM HALL INFORMATION

All candidates who apply to our Department's Master's Program for the Spring Semester of the 2022-2023 Academic Year have to take the Science Exam, which will be held in the hall and on the date specified in the attached Master's Exam Program file.

PLEASE check your exam date and hall information from the file of the Master's Exam Program with Thesis presented in the attached file, and the following about the Science Exam; Please read the Senate Principles on the SAU Graduate Education Regulation, Article 6 Determination of Scientific Evaluation Results and Announcement Articles.

We wish success to all candidates who will participate in the Science Exam to be held on January 04, 2023.

Determination and announcement of evaluation results

ARTICLE 6-

(1) Candidates whose science and art exam grade to be held by the relevant EABD/EASD presidency is below 50 out of 100 and whose art exam/file evaluation grade for the art proficiency program is below 75 out of 100 will be deemed unsuccessful.

(2) The result of science and art exams is converted into a 4-point system with linear proportion.

(3) In master's programs, the science/art exam is done as a written exam; It is done in written and interview form in doctorate and art proficiency programs.

(4) The contributions of the written exam and interview are equal in doctorate and proficiency in arts programs.

(5) (Update: Senate-17/06/2021- 585) Candidates up to 5 times the number of quotas announced for the relevant program are accepted for the science exam. The ranking of the candidates is based on 70% of the ALES score and 30% of the grade point average.

(6) Candidates with a success evaluation grade below “2.75” in doctoral and proficiency in arts programs are deemed unsuccessful.

(7) Exam scores accepted as equivalent by the Interuniversity Board in applications are calculated and evaluated according to the conversion tables determined by YÖK.

(8) In applications, if the graduation grade (the grading system used by the university during his education) is outside the "4" system, the graduation grade of the candidate is calculated and evaluated according to the grade conversion table determined by YÖK.
