Turkey with Patent 4th Universities Patent Competition will be held in order to increase the number of domestic patent applications in our country, to raise awareness and raise awareness about patents in universities, to equip university students with the knowledge they will use in their professional life or academic studies, and to encourage and encourage students to invention activities, which have an important place in the technological development of our country.
Within the scope of the competition, which was announced on April 26, 2024 within the scope of World Intellectual Property Day and started on May 1, 2024, university students studying in associate, undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs will be able to participate in the competition by logging into the system via e-Government until December 15, 2024 via the epats.turkpatent.gov.tr website and making a free online patent application.
Patent applications by university students will be evaluated by a distinguished jury within the framework of certain criteria. At the Award Ceremony to be held in 2025, which will be attended by the Honorable Minister with their consent, a total of 850.000.- TL will be awarded, including 100.000.- TL for the first, 80.000.- TL for the second, 60.000.- TL for the third, 50.000.- TL for the fourth to sixth, 40.000.- TL for the seventh to tenth and 30.000 TL for the eleventh to twentieth. In addition, the winning applicants will be provided with the opportunity to participate in national and international invention fairs in order to promote their inventions.
