Exam Security

Dear Students,

Due to the recent increase in cheating incidents during examinations, additional examination security rules have been introduced. All students are required to comply with the following regulations during examinations.

1. New Rules for Students

The following devices are prohibited in examination halls:

  • Mobile phones
  • Smartwatches and all types of wearable technological and electronic devices
  • Wireless earphones and nano earpieces
  • Smart glasses and accessories with camera functionality (button cameras, pen cameras, etc.)

The following actions will be considered cheating attempts and will result in the initiation of disciplinary proceedings:

  • Taking photographs, screenshots, or copies of examination questions or answers
  • Submitting examination questions or answers to artificial intelligence tools (such as ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.)
  • Making audio recordings or transferring data to any digital medium
  • Using or possessing concealed electronic devices during an examination

2. New Authority Granted to Examination Proctors

Examination proctors are authorized to observe students before and during examinations for indications of concealed electronic device usage, including smart glasses and similar accessories. If a suspicious situation is observed:

  • The student will be asked to place the relevant item on the desk.
  • No physical force may be used if the student refuses. However, the incident will be documented in an official report, and disciplinary proceedings will be initiated.
